The ledger window toolbar contains options that let you work with the records. As new records are created they are added to the list in the ledger window in account code order. If you are not using a mouse then you can access the ledger windows toolbar from the keyboard by pressing the TAB key until the appropriate option is selected, and then pressing the SPACEBAR. The ledger window toolbar options are not listed on the Modules menu.
Note: You can change the colour of the listing lines that appear on each ledger of your Sage Line 50 program, or you can remove them completely. For details about adding colours to your ledger windows, see section To Set Up your Colour Defaults.

The ledger window list box displays a list of records you have added to your ledger. From the list, select the accounts you want to work with then choose the option you require from the toolbar.
Using your mouse or keyboard you can select individual or multiple records from the ledger window list boxes.
To select a record using the mouse, move the mouse-pointer to the record you require and click the left-hand mouse button once. The record you selected is highlighted.
To select a record using the keyboard, press the TAB key until the highlight marker appears in the list box. Use the arrow keys to move the marker to the relevant record and press the SPACEBAR to select it.
To select multiple records using the mouse, press and hold down the SHIFT key while clicking on the records required.
To select multiple records using the keyboard, press the TAB key until the highlight marker appears in the list box. Use the arrow keys to move the marker to each required record in turn and press the SPACEBAR to select it. All selected records are highlighted.

Use the Search button to restrict the records shown in a ledger window. For example, you can show only the records of customers who operate in London and have a balance over ú1000.

If you need to select a large number of records, the Swap button can do this for you quickly.
To select a large number of records, select the (lesser number of) records you don't want, and then click Swap. The system automatically switches the selection to all those records not selected.

To de-select all previously selected records, click Clear. All the records that were highlighted are de-selected, and no records are left highlighted.
